THE RIPPLES SPREADfrom chapter sixteen They left Jane at home she had some items she needed to sort through, as they were getting close to the date the builders would be starting the extension to the house. They had finalised their plans to include an enlarged family room, another bedroom and bathroom. Jane decided a cup of coffee would be nice, before starting her clean up/ When a knock sounded, at the front door. Opening the door, standing there looking down at her with a gleam in his dark brown eyes, was Seb Gazozas. "How the...hell," she stuttered, Jane was astounded to see him. "Aren't you going to invite me in?" She moved back and he followed her in, closing the door behind him. They moved into the lounge and she fell into one of the armchairs. He chose a chair close by her, still with a small grin on his face. His presence in her home was overwhelming; his curly black hair falling over his face glistened in the sunlight. She couldn't get over how he looked his broad shoulders, he dominated the room. Wearing a black shirt, no tie, and black trousers he gave off an image of charm and tempting appeal. "You're wondering several things I reckon. First why am I here? How did I happen to turn up? When no one else is home and I'm supposed to be in Queensland. Well, I can put your mind at rest. I used an investigative surveillance company, in two days I had all your personal information. And, even I was surprised about that little fact of your living arrangements. Will, Jane and Sue, that indeed was an interesting item." She sat looking at him, hardly able to believe he was real. Seb continued. "They were able to ascertain the movements of all of your family, and today as they all departed. I have arrived promptly. That's the how, Queensland I left my son to finish off. However, the why is the most important. I can't get you out of my thoughts." He pulled his chair closer to her and leaned forward, taking her hands in his, he looked at her with an intense attentiveness. She felt barely able to breath, her heart seemed to be pounding, and no words came. "I who have known many woman and had countless affairs over the years, I'm stunned, astounded by my heartfelt and genuine reaction when I first met you. I feel something for you that I never thought I would ever feel again in my life. You fascinate me." Jane tried to get her mouth to work she had to say something. "I don't know what to say, I am staggered to find you at our front door, it has all happened so quickly" "I had to see you, and on your own. To try and understand what I feel for you." "But you're married, I'm married." "I married young. I tell my son's, I have two, don't get tied to a woman before thirty." "That's a cynical outlook." "Perhaps, it is but it's taken me all this time to find you." "I can't even comprehend what you expect from me?" "At the moment I will take anything you can give. When we first met and since, haven't you had some reaction to me?" "I find you an overwhelming presence with massive charisma. I'd even say an aura, and when you enter a room you seem to take over." "Well at least you have formed some impression, even though it's not quite what I'd like." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.aussieviewshere.com |
